The incumbent will be responsible for delivering support and enhancements as Toolmaker in our Toolroom.

The primary function of this role is to manage the operation of the Tool Room to service and repair tools and associated equipment in line with production requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good decision-making and troubleshooting skills, diagnosis of problems and course of action, Tool Room repair and maintenance work and Tool Room machining practices. These include the safe and efficient maintenance of production equipment and process engineering/capital project management. Understands and communicates all hazards and safety issues to Management and co-workers.

- Ensure that tooling is serviced and set up to the correct specification, available for production with all necessary equipment and fittings in line with planning requirements.
- Perform preventative maintenance on tool and dies.
- Troubleshoot issues with tool and dies to ensure production needs are met.
- Maintain and upgrade fixtures and gages.
- Leads employees in good die maintenance and build practices.
- Instructs in general machining practices.
- Makes decisions and judgements about the proper course of action for repairs and maintenance.
- Maintains good safety and housekeeping practices.
- Demonstrates good short- and long-term decision-making and troubleshooting skills, tool room machining practices, safety, diagnosis of problems and course of action, and tool room repair and maintenance work.
- Responsible for providing and implementing process improvement ideas.
- Promotes teamwork and shows a willingness to work well in other departments.
- Demonstrates good work planning practices to do jobs in a very timely, efficient and safe manner.
- Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the Factory/position.
